Hibiscus Flowers
(Wada Mal / Sapaththu Mal)
Hibiscus flowers flowering plant that is most commonly found any region in Sri Lanka. 



Specially in warmer climate areas it grows as a fence as well as in the garden. These flowers are not use to worships gods. Really Hibiscus flowers are decorative. 




It grows for landscaping and popular as quick growing plant. Not only that but also it uses for medical treatments in Sri Lanka Ayurvedic.  





Mostly it uses to bath kids those who have skin problems, as herbal tea and keep healthy long hair. 




  There are vivid Hibiscus varieties different from each. Most of flowers have five petals. Most of them are coloured as red , yellow, white, rose, orange . 








It is very popular as “Shoe Flower” or “sapaththu mala or wada mala ” in Sri Lanka.





These flowers have been used by in kings’ era to make garlands.







 The person who is ordered to kill as a punishment what he has done should wear the Hibiscus garland.

Most of trees start their food with the flowers.It is very difficult see a plant or creeper with out a flower.
